What makes a brilliant poem?

Question

What makes a brilliant poem?
When Ive asked people some say rhyme some say rythm but if its not one these what is the one factor that makes poems brilliant?

Answer

Though I must admit, I love poems that rhyme a great deal more then I do others, I think what makes a poem good is its ability to evoke a story in the readers mind.brIf your poem is worded in such a way that it makes it difficult for the reader to associate a series of images to flow with the words then your poem in my opinion is no goodkinda like the ones that they force u read in school!!!br And if your poem makes a person visualise a different story with each reading, then your poem is fantastic for the broader spectrum of emotions it can evoke in any individual i believe this is achieved when the poet uses the simplest language possible rather then thumb thru a thesaurus the biggest words!brbrNEhoo, this is just my humble opinion which can always be wrong and is subject to change with the broadeningammendment of my own intellect!!!!!
