I am a country boy who thinks that the death penality is too SOFT?
i think they should still hang people by the neck if they have commited a really bade crime murder, rape, ect...

I think that the death penalty is advocated most vigorously for by people who dont want a baby aborted for anything. Seems contradictory to me. And the death penalty is in no way a deterrent to crime. Thats been shown over and over again. I think hanging is probably a better way to go than electrocution, or lethal injection, actually. And why do prisoners get as many liberties as they do? They dont need Internet, t.v., weights, they should be in plain cells with no beds, hard labor camps all day, and required levels of education. That said, I dont like the death penalty at all. It isnt helping anyone, it gives the wrong message to society, what is the big upside? What if someone convicted of a capital offense, gets executed, and later turns out to be innocent of the crime? Innocent people have been executed. Then all those who convicted him should be executed as well the judge, jury, prosecutors, police officers and detectives, crime scene investigators, expert witnesses, eye witnesses, and families of the victims if an innocent person is sentenced to death and later found innocent, then all those other people should die as well. If you cant support the death penalty in this form you are a hypocrite and should support no death penalty at all.brbrIts sad that Christians would even consider the death penalty as an option, and I wonder if they really know what being Christlike means?
